Dr. Ben A. Carlsen, MBA
Ben Carlsen believes that organizations, as such an important part of our lives, should be optimized as functional, effective entities. To accomplish this, he feels that leaders and managers must bring out the best in people, including themselves. The successful execution of this responsibility requires creativity, motivation, personal integrity, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
Dr. Carlsen is Department Head of the Business Administration program at Everest Institute in Hialeah, Florida. His thirty years experience as a consultant, educator, CEO, entrepreneur, professional manager, and change facilitator has formed his perspective on management of the business enterprise. He did his undergraduate work at the University of Washington, holds an MBA from Pepperdine University, and earned a Doctorate in Organization and Leadership at the University of San Francisco.
Carlsen was Chairman of the Los Angeles County Productivity Association, President of the L.A. Chapter of the Association for Systems Management, Chair of the Marketing Managers Association, and “Teacher of the Year” at the University of San Francisco. Before moving to Florida, he taught at the University of San Francisco in the Organization Development and and MPA programs. He also taught for the Institute for Professional Development at the University of California, Davis, the Business and Law Department of California State University, and in the business program at Western International University. He is listed in Who's Who in California, Who's Who in the West, Who's Who in the World, and the Who's Who Registry of Business Leaders.
