Submitting Content to Insightory

Anyone can submit content on Insightory - however, you must be eligible to accept our Terms of Use Submitting content is not permitted in countries and locations where such activity may not be allowed by law. You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws in your location.

Multiple users may submit content jointly; however, they must appoint and use one lead person for the purpose of communicating with Insightory.

Insightory's objective is to help corporate professionals, academicians and graduate business students share their knowledge and insights, and create an "expertise brand" for themselves. Any content or presentation submitted to Insightory should be consistent with this objective.

Our focus is on management-related topics rather than scientific or technical topics. We do not intend to put a rigid definition around what is or isn't "management-related". The distinction should be obvious is most cases. Where it isn't obvious, please contact us at help@insightory.com and we will gladly help you out.

Currently, we only accept content in the form of documents (PowerPoint, Word or PDF format) and blog feeds. If you create documents using web-based applications (such as Open Office, Zoho, Google Docs etc.) please convert the files to PDF before submitting them.

All content should convey a clear, complete concept and, as such, there is no minimum or maximum length or file size.

You may use any template, layout or background.

We recommend that every document you submit have a distinct cover page with the document title and your name in large font (minimum 48 point). At this stage, we are accepting documents in English only.

We will not accept any document that has several grammatical or formatting errors, poor use of language or excess usage of fonts and graphics.

If you use images or pictures, it is your responsibility to follow all applicable copyright and other intellectual property laws.

All documents must be submitted online at insightory.com.

By submitting content to Insightory, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and accepted the following:

• All submitted content (and the concepts therein) are your original work, or were made available to you by the author or copyright holder under a license that allows you to post them on the Insightory website.
• You own any applicable copyright (or related intellectual property license) that would allow Insightory to display and use your work in the intended manner on its website, or that you received a license from the author or copyright owner to display the work on Insightory's website.
• If you are using any third-party content, you are doing so legally and with appropriate attribution.
• All references and citations provided by you, and all representations regarding your name, occupation, country and background are accurate to the best of your knowledge.
• If you are using a corporate logo, trademark or other intellectual property, or submitting a document written in the course of, or otherwise covered under the terms of, your employment with an organization, you have the appropriate authorizations to do so.
• You are not explicitly promoting any service, product or company. Note: any document in which more than 10% of the content is considered "promotional" in nature shall be removed from the database if it comes to our notice.
• Nothing in the materials you submit is obscene, offensive, defamatory or otherwise illegal.
• You are responsible for compliance with all local laws that apply in your country, state or other appropriate jurisdiction.
• You give Insightory, its appointed reviewers, its users and subscribers, and any other individual or group appointed by Insightory, the worldwide non-exclusive*, sub-licensable, transferable, assignable royalty-free right to:
  • Use, display, copy and distribute the content.
  • Change the way the content is stored or distributed.
  • Use the content in Insightory publicity material and place third party advertisements around the content as it is displayed on the website.
• Insightory may remove your material from its website or from other database at any time, for any reason and without notice.
• Insightory may terminate your account and your ability to submit materials for any reason.
• Insightory may change these terms at any time without notice.
• In case of any dispute, Insightory will choose the appropriate jurisdiction for resolution or arbitration.
• You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Insightory, its directors and officers, employees and agents from all liability, claims, damages, costs and fees arising out of your non-observance of these terms and conditions.

* Note that we only accept materials on a non-exclusive basis, which means that you continue to "own" the content even after submitting it to Insightory, and may use it for another purpose (e.g. consulting, teaching or research). Insightory does not to claim exclusive rights over your content, nor does it wish to prevent you from re-using your own work!
